Clinical Practice Consultant, Professional Practice Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Consultant to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our Professional Practice team, you will play a vital role in advancing quality clinical practice and promoting team-based care throughout our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Practice Consultation Leadership: Provide expert guidance and leadership to clinicians, managers, and directors to ensure Fraser Health Authority is a leader in clinical care and a professional practice environment.
- Practice Assessment and Advice: Offer expert assessment, advice, and problem-solving for complex practice challenges.
- Implementation Planning: Collaborate with Directors, Professional Practice to develop implementation plans that support compliance with legislation and regulations for the appropriate professional group(s).
- Project Management: Oversee and support projects and initiatives, incorporating change management and knowledge translation considerations.
- Health Human Resources Utilization: Maximize health human resources utilization by facilitating full scope of practice for all categories of health providers.
- Clinical Policy Development: Recommend and lead or contribute to the development of new clinical policies and procedures.
- Practice Education: Partner with various internal and external stakeholders to conceptualize, develop, deliver, and/or coordinate practice education programs.
- Representation: Represent Fraser Health Authority and Professional Practice at various events, including educational family forums, professional associations, regulatory bodies, and external committees.
- Clinical Research: Support clinical research to promote the development of clinical knowledge and its application to professional practice.
- Education: Graduate of an approved clinical health profession with a Master's degree in that health profession or in health administration, education, or related field.
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years' recent, related clinical and/or education experience in a complex health care environment, including progressive professional practice, education, project management, and leadership experience.
- Registration: Current practicing registration with the relevant regulatory college or association in British Columbia.
- Leadership: Demonstrates the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring, and Courageous and creates the conditions for people to succeed.
- Professional/Technical Capabilities: Knowledge of health care system and provincial educational systems, thorough knowledge and experience working with complex health care organizations, demonstrated knowledge of applicable regulatory body/association standards, and ability to exercise initiative, creativity, and innovative thinking.
