Job Description

The Co-Environmental Services Supervisor/Manager is responsible for ensuring the Home, its equipment and linens are in a state of good repair and cleanliness. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Services Supervisor/Manager to provide effective Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance Services;
  • Ensure the Home, its equipment and linens are in a state of good repair and cleanliness;
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment for residents and staff;
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required;
Requirements
  1. Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a health care setting or relevant field;
  2. A post-secondary degree or diploma is preferred;
  3. Knowledge of evidence-based practices and prevailing practices relating to housekeeping, laundry and maintenance;
  4. 1 year of maintenance related work experience preferred;
  5. Ability to perform minor repairs (i.e., caulking, patching, and painting of walls);
  6. Strong attention to detail;
  7. Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment;
  8. Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act;
  9. Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education;
  10. Must understand oral and written instructions;
  11. Valid Driver's License;
