**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Weld Reliability Technician to join our team at Cosma International in St. Thomas, Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing all welding details to ensure they meet the required standards using assigned equipment/machinery in our division's welding departments.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Operate generate reports/data on push out/torque/resistance weld destructive testing equipment.
  2. Perform mig weld cuts/measuring of weld cross sections and understand the results.
  3. Timely report non-conforming parts.
  4. Complete weld inspection reports using weld database and check WCR for containment.
  5. Initiate corrective action with Quality Auditors for any non-compliance.
  6. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills.
  7. Perform weld inspections for studies, tip studies and consumable trials under weld engineer direction.
  8. Understand PPAP and complete correlation studies between destructive and non-destructive testing.
  9. Have a sound technical understanding of weld quality standards including weld appearance and weld location - Mig, projection, spot.
  10. Use ultrasonic weld inspection tester and perform annual layout inspections and reporting.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience inspecting/testing all welding of details.
  3. Computer proficiency required.
  4. Ability to understand/follow direction.
  5. Perform plasma cutting and use push-out machine, microscope inspections, air-driven chisel hammer, and read weld drawings.
  6. Use Jaws of Life (Hydraulic safety training required), cut-off saw, grinder and polisher, and read control plans.
  7. Work independently.
