Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join our team on a night shift. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical measurements and testing, inspecting and testing electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical measurements and testing using electrical measuring and testing equipment.
  • Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Use technical documentation, such as Avis Qualité, Avis Technique, DO, verification sheets, drawings, C-18, etc.
  • Apply organizational methods and methodologies, such as business management manual, procurement, health and safety, organizational procedures, general workshop processes.
  • Apply job methods and methodologies, such as prioritizing and planning work, e.g. Day 1 follow-up, distances to be checked, follow-up to ensure proper vacuum, committee lead.
  • Use internal systems, such as product identification, tag, RNC, Poka, etc.
  • Solve complex problems requiring in-depth fact-finding and analysis.
  • Pass on knowledge and experience to less experienced staff.
  • Participate in the development of methods, instructions, and tests.
  • Act as a technical leader.
Requirements:
  • College diploma in electronics, instrumentation and controls, electrodynamics, electrical engineering, or other electricity-related field.
  • 12 to 24 months of experience in electrical measurement and testing, electrical inspection and testing, or related field.
  • Knowledge of blueprint/plans reading and Microsoft Office required.
  • Behavioral skills: teamwork, self-control, impact and influence, communication, firmness.
  • Knowledge of metric and international systems.
  • Environment: working at heights, confined spaces, working with high-voltage equipment (over 600 volts), working with oil, heat, cold, driving vehicles: trucks, aerial work platforms, etc.
  • Fluency in English (an asset).
  • Knowledge of welding (an asset).
