About the Position

The Centre for Making Coordinator & Ancillary Services is a key role within Fleming College, responsible for maintaining the campus library, organizing and maintaining the campus Shirt Shop, and providing technical support and administrative coordination for the Centre for Making community makerspace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the campus library, including ordering books and materials, and providing technical support for library equipment.
  • Organize and maintain the campus Shirt Shop, including ordering clothing and supplies, and providing customer service to students and staff.
  • Provide technical support and administrative coordination for the Centre for Making community makerspace, including troubleshooting equipment and providing training to users.
  • Provide back-up support to front-line reception, including answering phones and responding to emails.
  • Assist with course registrations, promotion, and general clerical support for all areas of campus operations.
Requirements
  • 2-year Diploma in Marketing, Visual Arts, Design, or related field, plus additional courses in office administration, marketing, or business.
  • Three to five years of relevant working experience, including experience in retail sales, marketing, or library services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking and customer service.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
