Job Summary

Medecins Sans Frontieres is seeking a skilled Nurse Coordinator to join our team. As a Nurse Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating and planning clinical work, primarily involving basic healthcare activities. This may include vaccination campaigns, feeding centers, outbreak management, or outreach activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, monitor, train, and coach a team of locally hired nurses in your project.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data to inform healthcare decisions.
  • Forecast medical supply needs and monitor consumption.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement healthcare programs to meet the needs of our patients.

Requirements

  • Full and current registration as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner.
  • Minimum three years of relevant post-qualification work experience in emergency rooms, pediatrics, neonatology, infectious diseases, nutrition, obstetrics, operating room, HIV/AIDS, public health, and intensive care.
  • At least six months of clinical experience within the last two years.
  • Experience in managing staff in a multicultural team (supervision and training).
  • Excellent command of English and French (level B2).
  • Relevant travel or work experience in contexts similar to where MSF works (armed conflicts, disasters, public health emergencies, or situations of healthcare exclusion).
  • Available to work six to nine months.

Assets

  • Tropical nursing experience.
  • Knowledge of other languages (Arabic, Spanish).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (especially Excel).
