Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Nursing Resources Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the daily operation of the Nursing Resource Office and liaising with Charge Nurses and/or Managers of the patient care units to determine staffing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with staff and managers to coordinate clinical staffing requests and needs
  • Provide direction for Pool Nurses regarding hospital policies and procedures
  • Prepare and maintain time schedule requests and attendance records
  • Identify and communicate concerns to the Clinical Team Manager and follow through on resolution of issues as directed
  • Maintain the Nursing Resources Office, including managing the staffing system, filing, and record keeping
  • Collect and record statistics related to agency use and staffing requests from various patient care units

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years office experience
  • College Diploma in Office Administration or other related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with extensive experience in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Electronic Payroll systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Accurate and efficient keyboarding skills, minimum of 45 w.p.m.
  • Experience with KRONOS is an asset
  • Bilingualism in French/English is an asset

What We Offer

As a Nursing Resources Coordinator at North York General Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in a fast-paced and challenging environment. This is a full-time permanent position, with 8-hour shifts, days, and evenings, including weekends on an as needed basis in the Nursing Resource Team Office. We offer a highly competitive total compensation package, including pay in lieu of benefits, vacation pay, and the opportunity to join the Hospital Pension Plan.
