Director of Transportation and Warehousing

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee logistics, transportation, and warehouse activities within the company
  • Supervise the movement, distribution, and storage of supplies, materials, and products at Hunter Amenities
  • Articulate and communicate a strategic plan in logistics and warehouse management to senior management
  • Implement operational metrics as it pertains to warehouse management and logistics, and set performance goals
  • Prepare logistics operations for expected challenges and unforeseen challenges with effective contingency plans in place
  • Manage working capital expectations as it relates to warehouse efficiencies
  • Own the entire logistics process, including negotiations with carriers and brokers
  • Utilize Hunter's global warehouse network to find efficiencies for incoming and outgoing product
  • Understand and navigate the transportation market and carrier regulations in Canada and the United States
Requirements
  • 5-10 years' experience at a senior level overseeing logistics and warehouse management
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution
  • Experience in a logistics role and warehouse management with a proven track record in logistics strategy and management
  • Conflict management skills
