Job Title: Director of Transportation and Warehousing

Hunter Amenities International Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Transportation and Warehousing to join our Operations team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistics, transportation, and warehouse activities within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for logistics and warehouse management to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Manage working capital expectations by optimizing warehouse efficiencies and removing expired/obsolete inventory.
  • Negotiate with carriers and brokers to provide measurable savings without sacrificing on-time delivery metrics.
  • Introduce relevant technology to improve warehouse operations and optimize space usage.
  • Utilize Hunter's global warehouse network to find efficiencies for incoming/outgoing product.
  • Understand and navigate transportation market and carrier regulations in Canada and the United States.
  • Build and manage effective teams to optimize logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Achieve financial objectives by establishing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Comply with legal requirements by enforcing company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 5-10 years' experience at a senior level overseeing logistics and warehouse management.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Experience in successfully accomplishing goals and organizational objectives of grand scope.
