Join Protolight Farms Inc. as a skilled Farm Worker, Fruit, and contribute to the success of our agricultural operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and productivity of our crops, from planting to harvesting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain the crops, including pruning, weeding, and fertilizing.
  • Grade and package fruits and vegetables for market.
  • Perform greenhouse cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with hand harvesting, including cutting and tying plants.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
  • Remove suckers and water sprouts from plants.
  • Clean and maintain work areas.
  • Fertilize and spray crops as needed.
  • Report any signs of insect or disease damage.
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work at heights, in wet/damp conditions, and with odours.
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
Work Environment:
  • Rural area.
  • Non-smoking work site.
Transportation:
  • Own transportation required.
  • Public transportation not available.
Work Conditions:
  • Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling.
