Farm Worker - Vegetables Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Farm Worker - Vegetables to join our team at Double Diamond Enterprises Inc. As a Farm Worker - Vegetables, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and quantity of our vegetable crops.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, color, and volume to fetch high prices in the market.
  • Hand harvest vegetables, ensuring they are of the highest quality.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications, maintaining the integrity of our crops.
  • Tie and secure plants, promoting healthy growth and development.
  • Clean the work area, maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
  • Harvest crops at the optimal time, ensuring maximum yield and quality.
  • Examine products for quality and readiness for the market, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Cut horticultural crops, handling them with care to prevent damage.
Work Environment:

As a Farm Worker - Vegetables, you will work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods. You will be required to bend, crouch, and kneel, and will be exposed to hot temperatures.

Requirements:
  • Experience in agriculture or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
