About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Tina Cake Desserts. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our dining area and kitchen.

Responsibilities
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and ensure that the dining area is tidy and well-maintained.
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas, and restock kitchen storage areas as needed.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans to ensure they are spotless.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as vegetables and fruit, to support our kitchen team.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely and efficiently, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sharpen kitchen knives to maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity.
  • Handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding role.
  • Work overtime as required, and be available for shift or on-call work.
  • Stand for extended periods and work in a repetitive task environment.
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of quality.
Weight Handling
  • Handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) with ease and efficiency.
