Business Development Manager for Mining and Minerals

Wood is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to lead our Minerals and Metals business development efforts. As a key member of our international team, you will be responsible for building relationships with our client base and identifying new opportunities for consulting, study, and project work.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth and revenue in the Minerals and Metals sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry professionals to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with our project execution teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and meet client expectations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to provide expert advice and guidance to clients.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our clients' needs and preferences to deliver tailored solutions and value-added services.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a relevant engineering, finance, or business discipline.
- 7-10 years of relevant business development experience in the mining and minerals industry, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong network of enduring business relationships with clients, partners, and industry professionals.
- Broad knowledge of mining and minerals industry technologies, work processes, environments, and local customs, practices, and norms.
- Excellent communication, writing, presentation, people, and negotiating skills.
- A demonstrated capacity to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Proven planning, organization, and data interpretation skills, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Ability to identify customer needs and wants, and develop insightful value propositions and identify opportunities for both the customer and Wood.
- Membership and participation in recognized Mining and Minerals and technical specialty professional organizations, as applicable.
- Full proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Wood's CRM tools.
- Strong proficiency in English; working knowledge of other languages considered an asset.
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required.
