Job Summary:

Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bakery Clerk to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting in the production of high-quality bakery products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Package and label bakery products for sale, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform tasks such as slicing bread, frying donuts, utilizing ovens, and assisting in production as directed by bakers.
  • Stock shelves and pull freezer products as needed, ensuring a well-stocked and visually appealing bakery department.
  • Assist in setting up products for the following day, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently, demonstrating a willingness to collaborate and support colleagues.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with some heavy lifting required.
  • Prior experience in a bakery setting is an asset, but training is available for the right candidate.
