Senior RPG Developer

IT Unlock is seeking a highly skilled Senior RPG Developer to join our team. As a Senior RPG Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and documenting business system software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and document business system software
  • Participate in the development and delivery of client deliverables as part of the team
  • Follow methodology for all projects, keeping in mind industry coding standards and best practices
  • Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software systems
  • Perform various levels of testing to ensure correctness of software systems using automated and manual testing
  • Participate in code reviews and work closely with QA to perform test plan reviews
  • Proactively manage client expectations, concerns, and questions
  • Document new and existing applications and systems through textual explanations and visual diagrams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or College degree in Software Development or related program
  • 10+ years of experience with IBMi (iSeries, AS/400), DB2 database, and RPGLE language
  • Experience using embedded SQL within RPG and data modernization tools
  • Recent programming and analysis experience in AS/400, iSeries, RPGILE, Free format RPGLE, SQL
  • Advanced DB2 SQL Programming
  • Effective communication with all levels of employees and management
  • Eligibility to work in North America

Given the daily interactions required with colleagues and/or clients who are mainly located outside Quebec, this role requires fluency in English.
