Senior RPG Developer

IT Unlock is a leading provider of IT solutions, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior RPG Developer to join our team. As a Senior RPG Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining software systems using IBM iSeries and RPGLE programming languages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software systems using IBM iSeries and RPGLE programming languages.
  • Assist in the testing and maintenance of software systems to ensure they meet industry standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborate with QA to ensure high-quality software systems.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to manage expectations and resolve issues.
  • Document software systems and applications using a combination of textual explanations and visual diagrams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or College degree in Software Development or related program.
  • 10+ years of experience with IBM iSeries, DB2 database, and RPGLE language.
  • Experience with embedded SQL and data modernization tools such as RDi.
  • Recent programming and analysis experience in AS/400, iSeries, RPGILE, Free format RPGLE, and SQL.
  • Advanced DB2 SQL programming skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Eligibility to work in North America.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to write technical documents.
  • Experience with data conversions and server-to-server FTP automation.
