Foster Care Program Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Foster Care Program Manager at WJS Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and evaluating high-quality family services programming.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Program Director to design and deliver outcome-based family services programming that meets the needs of our clients.
- Recruit, train, and mentor Foster Care Support Workers and other staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to provide exceptional service.
- Supervise and manage caseloads, ensuring that clients receive timely and effective support.
- Promote WJS Canada's family services programs and community initiatives through effective marketing and outreach strategies.
- Advocate for clients and their families, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic client files and report on program/service outcomes.
- Participate in Child and Family Services (CFS) case conferencing and contribute to the development of effective case plans.
- Assist in future contract negotiations with funders, ensuring that WJS Canada's interests are represented.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Work, Sociology, or Psychology.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in a related field.
- Training in Signs of Safety, Solution Focused Training, Attachment Theory, Trauma Informed Care, and Collaborative Service Delivery.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to foster a cooperative work environment and community.
- Cultural sensitivity and understanding of Indigenous culture.
- Conflict resolution, mediation, and crisis prevention and intervention skills.
- Knowledge of the Alberta Child and Family Enhancement Act and Bill C-92.
