Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our financial performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

Your primary tasks will include:

  • Ensuring timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close by preparing journal entries and assisting with financial statement preparation;
  • Conducting general ledger account reconciliations, analyzing financial information, and explaining variances between periods;
  • Coordinating with other departments to understand significant transactions and implications on financial reporting requirements;
  • Assisting with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting activities;
  • Performing daily cash flow analysis and forecasting future cash flows;
  • Preparing and remitting federal and provincial sales taxes;
  • Participating in special projects, system changes, and implementations, and suggesting process improvements;
  • Completing ad-hoc requests and reports as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent);
  • Working towards the CPA designation (an asset);
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience;
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and various functions/formulas;
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials (an asset);
  • Bilingualism in French and English (required).
