About the Role

We are seeking an experienced financial professional to join our Montreal IT Finance team. If you have a passion for driving business growth through data-driven insights and possess strong analytical skills, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

This senior-level role requires a unique blend of technical numerical proficiency, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of project and operational portfolio financial management. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new processes for performance monitoring, analyzing forecasts, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance performance monitoring and benchmarking capabilities
  • Analyze and interpret complex financial data to inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and standardization
  • Collect industry insights to inform our performance against benchmarks
  • Design and execute roadmaps for key processes such as depreciation, capitalization, and accruals
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to IT executive management
  • Analyze and communicate cost and expense variances to stakeholders
  • Verify cost allocations according to company procedures
  • Support financial planning and budgeting processes, analyze financial statements, and develop financial models
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least one of the following designations: CPA (CMA, CGA, CA)
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis and reporting
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
