Cultivation Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cultivation Manager to join our team at Aurora Cannabis. As a key member of our cultivation team, you will be responsible for managing all crops in our production facility, ensuring quality crops and trials are delivered on time.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of cultivation specialists to achieve safety, quality, cost, and employee engagement key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and effective crop production.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and control environmental, nutrient, and integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to optimize crop yields and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Aurora's SOPs, ISO standards, and Health Canada's Cannabis Act.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in commercial plant propagation or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising a team of up to 50.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of climate control systems and IPM strategies.
