At The Balmer Hotel, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and customer service meet our high standards.

About the Role

This is a key position within our hotel, requiring a strong leader who can motivate and direct a team of staff to achieve our goals. You will be responsible for managing the workflow, supervising staff, and coordinating activities to ensure seamless execution of our services.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role, with excellent communication and leadership skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the food service department, including supervision of staff and coordination of activities;
  • Develop and implement efficient systems and procedures to meet work schedules and deadlines;
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations;
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly;
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates to optimize resource allocation and minimize waste;
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions;
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; secondary (high) school graduation certificate an asset;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hotel industry;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to motivate and direct a team;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records;
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations;
Benefits
