We are seeking a skilled Bar Manager to join our team at Hearthstone Inn Dartmouth.
Job Summary:The Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bar, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Organize and maintain inventory of beverages, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good condition.
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, ensuring the best possible prices and quality.
- Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities, ensuring that all agreements are fair and beneficial to both parties.
- Participate in marketing plans and implementation, promoting the bar and its services to attract new customers.
- Lead and instruct individuals, providing guidance and support to ensure that all team members are working effectively and efficiently.
- Address customers' complaints or concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all guests feel welcome and valued.
- Manage events, including weddings, parties, and other special occasions, ensuring that all details are taken care of and that the event is a success.
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
- Attention to detail, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and to a high standard.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent standing and walking required.
- Standing for extended periods, with regular breaks to rest and stretch.
