Restaurant Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Soul Restaurants Canada Inc.
Job Summary:The Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food and service meet our high standards of quality and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that all staff are equipped to perform their roles to a high standard.
- Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet demand.
- Ensure Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet our quality control standards, maintaining a high level of quality and excellence in all aspects of our operations.
- Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our means and making the most of our resources.
- Maintain Records: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have accurate and up-to-date information to inform our decision-making.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit reports, providing regular updates on our operations and performance.
The Shift Manager will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role will also require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
Personal Suitability:We are looking for a Shift Manager who is efficient, organized, and able to work effectively in a team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Experience:The Shift Manager will have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in food service and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
