Job Summary

The Facility Operations Assistant Manager is a key role within the Life Time team, responsible for supporting the Facility Operations Manager in delivering exceptional facilities and customer service. This position requires a high level of flexibility, as the successful candidate will work a varied schedule to meet the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of club spaces, including locker rooms, fitness floors, and common areas.
  • Respond promptly to member feedback, providing solutions and follow-up communication to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Support the manager in developing and implementing monthly and annual budget recommendations.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and feedback to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Participate in the club's Safety Committee, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Assist with recruiting and interviewing for the Operations department, helping to build a strong and diverse team.
  • Attend regular department head, Operations department, and all-club meetings to stay informed and contribute to decision-making.
  • Build positive relationships with members, gathering feedback and insights to inform business decisions.
  • Coordinate and create Operations staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and minimize disruptions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire.
  • 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Aquatic Facilities Operator Certification (AFO).
  • Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) within 3 months of hire.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in health and fitness operations.
  • College degree in business, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Experience with building operations.
