Job Opportunity:

RBC Dominion Securities Inc. is seeking a talented and self-directed individual to join our team as an Associate Advisor. In this role, you will work closely with an Investment Advisor team to provide proactive advice and support to clients, helping to deepen existing relationships and welcome new clients to the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your planning skills to facilitate meetings and events for the Investment Advisor with clients and prospects, determining agendas and key topics, preparing documentation, and executing post-meeting work.
  • Provide proactive client service, tapping into your problem resolution skills to work collaboratively with various departments to provide smooth and timely solutions.
  • Effectively respond to client account inquiries and take ownership of follow-ups.
  • Help build and execute business plans, client segmentation exercises, and client service plans.
  • Identify opportunities for asset consolidation and referrals across the existing client base.
  • Support the advisory team with new client acquisition.
  • Nurture and manage valuable relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) and RBC partners.
  • Trading and/or portfolio rebalancing support.
  • Conduct ongoing research on markets and investments and provide regular updates to the advisory team.
  • Support both the advisory team and clients throughout the Wealth Management process, coordinating activities with internal Wealth Management specialists, managing documentation, tracking progress, and following up.

Requirements:

  • Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with IIROC.
  • Successful completion of the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course or Investment Management Techniques (IMT).
  • University degree.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
