The Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Engineer to join its Digital Development team. As a key member of the Joint Security Operations Centre (JSOC), you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing effective test strategies, overseeing QA automation activities, and ensuring the quality of our applications through both manual and automated testing.

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Senior QA Engineer who is passionate about quality and driven to improve the testing processes within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test strategies to ensure high-quality product releases across multiple platforms.

You will own responsibility for end-to-end product quality, including defect management, status reporting, and metrics creation. You will also coordinate and participate in requirements review/story elaborations and testing activities to deliver high-quality products and incremental value with every iteration.

In addition, you will oversee QA automation activities, guiding on best practices, frameworks, and approaches. You will work closely with product and development teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • ">
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with proven expertise in test strategies, planning, estimations, and execution in various environments.">
  • 2+ years of experience with API automation and manual execution of API calls using tools such as Postman.">
  • Experience in testing UI components.">
  • Proficiency maintaining test automation frameworks, using tools like Selenium & Pytest.">
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.">
  • Hands-on experience in Python and SQL/NoSQL Databases.">
