About the Role

Cameco Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at McArthur River, the world's largest high-grade uranium mine. As a key member of our maintenance planning team, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve reliability excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and coordinate weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual schedules to ensure optimal maintenance activities.
  • Develop complete work order packages, manage material, labour availability, and delivery to maximize equipment availability and maintenance worker efficiency.
  • Develop repair plans and optimize maintenance plans to improve maintenance activities and contribute to asset reliability through various continual improvement efforts.
  • Be responsible for backlog management, reporting, and follow-up to ensure seamless maintenance operations.
  • Assist with bills of materials and equipment data, preparing reports and scheduling support to facilitate daily and weekly schedule meetings.
Requirements
  • Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson trade certificate as an Industrial Mechanic or Mechanical Technologist Diploma.
  • A minimum of five years maintenance scheduling and planning experience in a mine setting.
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
  • Strong computer and technical skills, effective verbal and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with SAP and a rotational schedule, with the ability to commute to site by aircraft.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous maintenance planning, coordinating, and/or scheduling experience.
  • Previous lead hand/supervisor experience.
  • Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification, CMRP designation, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of asset management, reliability, and maintenance execution best practices.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodology, such as LEAN, and/or Six Sigma training.
