BLUEBIRD CAFE & GRILL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure that they are equipped to meet the demands of our fast-paced environment.
- Food Preparation and Quality Control: Establish methods to meet work schedules, requisition food and kitchen supplies, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Inventory Management: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare budget and cost estimates.
- Communication and Teamwork: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment where you will be required to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail. You will be standing for extended periods and walking frequently.
