Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist, Vendor Performance to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing vendor performance, ensuring tasks are completed, and expectations are met. You will also be responsible for performing duties related to intake, repossession, transport, and skip processes according to company policies and legislative guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage vendor performance and ensure tasks are completed and expectations are met.
  2. Perform duties related to intake, repossession, transport, and skip processes according to company policies and legislative guidelines.
  3. Close and invoice accounts accurately.
  4. Provide information and guidance to customers to facilitate bringing accounts current.
  5. Must be detail-oriented and able to understand and prepare complex documentation and update different host systems. Maintain detailed records.
  6. Manage vendor performance and ensure that tasks are completed and expectations are met.
  7. Perform PPSA searches, discharges, and registrations.
  8. Complaint tracking and resolution.
  9. Third-party vendor assignment and tracking.
  10. Update and prepare various reports, manipulate data, and provide meaningful insight.
  11. Ability to document processes and train other employees.

Requirements

  • University or college degree preferred.
  • Two to five years of remarketing, repossession, and collections experience or combination of education and industry-related experience.
  • Be well-versed in the automotive finance lifecycle and have an understanding and interest in the automotive industry and vehicle values.
  • Be knowledgeable about non-standard items like recreational vehicles, ATVs, trailers, boats, motors, motorcycles, and other equipment like tractors and plows.
  • Firm understanding of the Privacy Laws, Personal Property Security Acts, and collections laws across Canada.
  • Understanding of the Canadian insolvency laws and legal recovery process.
  • Quebec Collections and recovery experience an asset.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software, client maintenance software, collections software, and Microsoft Office. Advanced user experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Superb oral and written communication skills in English. Bilingual French/English is an asset.
