Maintenance Team Lead

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Team Lead will oversee the maintenance team at Almag Aluminum, ensuring efficient and effective operations. This role is responsible for managing the performance of equipment and services in support of our 24/7 operation teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach the maintenance team, consisting of electricians, Millwrights, and Technicians consistent with our values
- Manage the performance of individuals and the maintenance team as a whole
- Attract, hire, and retain maintenance resources to ensure the correct balance of skills and capabilities
- Plan and schedule complex repair plans including workload balancing across the maintenance team, coordination with operations, and production scheduling
- Monitor equipment reliability, identify trends, and mitigation plans
- Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance programs and relevant regulatory standards
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers, including scope definition and performance
- Effective communication of equipment and team performance within and outside the maintenance team
- Manage maintenance inventory for accuracy, total value, and health
- Evaluate and maintain documentation on all equipment, building infrastructure, etc.
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, administration, or facility management, or equivalent experience
- Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) certification is an asset
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
- Minimum 4 years' experience with a CMMS system
Technical Skills/Competence:
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including Hydraulics and PLC's
- Effective communication and people management skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Familiarity with drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
- Root Cause Analysis
- Detailed understanding of Reliability and Maintenance Management Principles
