We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Team Lead to join our team at NJ TRANSPORT. As a Logistics Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a two-person team or convoy while driving a truck as part of your duties.

Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Leading a Two-Person Team or Convoy: You will be responsible for leading a two-person team or convoy while driving a truck, ensuring that all cargo is transported safely and efficiently.
  • Obtaining Special Permits: You will need to obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Performing Brake Adjustments: You will be responsible for performing brake adjustments to ensure that all vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Performing Preventive Maintenance: You will need to perform preventive maintenance on all vehicles to ensure that they are in good working condition.
  • Receiving and Relaying Information: You will be responsible for receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Truck Driving Experience: You will need to have extensive experience driving a truck, including leading a two-person team or convoy.
  • Specialized Knowledge: You will need to have knowledge of special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Mechanical Skills: You will need to have basic mechanical skills to perform brake adjustments and preventive maintenance.
  • Communication Skills: You will need to have excellent communication skills to receive and relay information to central dispatch.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
