About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Medical Care Assistant to join our team at Ressource Smavy. As a Medical Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Care: Provide assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as mobility and transfers.
  • Support with Medical Equipment: Assist with the cleaning, sterilizing, and maintenance of medical equipment, as well as setting up and assembling equipment as needed.
  • Deliver Messages and Reports: Transport messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Perform Other Duties: Assist with meal preparation and serving, as well as maintaining patient rooms and inventory of supplies.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a healthcare setting or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training and CPR Certificate.
  • Language: Fluency in French is required.
Work Environment

As a Medical Care Assistant at Ressource Smavy, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to lift, bend, and kneel as needed to provide patient care.
