Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at StockYard Meat Products. As a key member of our retail and wholesale operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting meats to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare meats for processing and cutting
  • Cut and trim meats to standard cuts
  • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Remove bones from meat
  • Weigh meats for sale
  • Cut poultry into parts
  • Price meat products
  • Clean and prepare fish and shellfish
  • Sell meats to customers
  • Supervise other butchers and meat cutters
Work Environment

Our butcher shop and wholesale operations are fast-paced and physically demanding environments. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
