Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our client's team in Kitchener. As a key member of the accounting department, you will be responsible for managing financial aspects of multiple construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets for multiple construction projects, ensuring accurate financial planning and forecasting.
  • Accounting and Financial Reporting: Manage all accounting-related functions for assigned projects, including vendor and sub-contractor invoices, and maintain project costing in the general ledger.
  • Project Cost Control: Create and maintain projects in the cost control database, generating project budget and cash flow reports, and providing insights on financial performance to senior management.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the accounting team, project teams, and senior management to ensure seamless financial management and reporting.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: 3+ years of project accounting experience in the construction or real estate development industry.
  • Skills: System savvy with MS Office, hands-on experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud or a similar platform, exceptional communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
