Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Ground Service Attendant to join our team at Skyservice. As a key member of our ground handling team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of aircraft on the ground.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aircraft Marshalling: Safely marshalling in and out arriving and departing aircraft, taking care to secure the aircraft and provide car valet service, luggage handling as necessary.
  • Fuel Operations: Safely operate fuel trucks - fueling and completing aircraft orders.
  • Fuel Quality Control: Handle aviation/jet fuel quality checks by conducting various tests and procedures.
  • Documentation: Document fuel quality and fueling equipment inspections on applicable forms.
  • Aircraft Movement: Tow aircraft in and out of hangars and on aprons/ramps.
  • Ground Support Services: Provide any number of ground services to aircraft (connecting ground power units, lavatory waste disposal, potable water).
  • Winter Operations: Ensure readiness and replenishment of anti-ice equipment during winter snow events.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Maintain a professional appearance and conduct with customers and coworkers.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain the cleanliness of all facilities and equipment.
  • Specialized Equipment: Prepare type 4 spray equipment during winter operations; and spray Type 4 on aircraft as required and by Skyservice SOP.
  • Additional Duties: Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school Diploma or GED required.
  • Driver's License: Valid G Driver's License required.
  • Aviation Experience: Aviation experience is considered an asset.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Must be a team player with good communication skills.
  • Computer Skills: Must have basic computer skills.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Being mechanically-inclined is considered an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ability to work outside in a variety of weather/environmental conditions.
