About the Role

The Integration Specialist will play a key part in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions to connect various enterprise business systems within Telesat, ensuring secure and seamless data flow and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements to identify integration opportunities and develop solutions that meet the needs of the organization.
  • Participate in and/or lead the planning of integration projects, ensuring that they are aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions within the organization's architectural principles, policies, and guidelines.
  • Research and make recommendations on integration products and services that meet the needs of the organization.
  • Test and troubleshoot integrations to ensure that they are functioning as expected.
  • Implement audit, logging, and monitoring solutions of integration systems to ensure that they are secure and compliant.
  • Provide guidance and support to other Applications Department members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Identify and resolve system integration issues to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise-level application integration.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
  • In-depth experience with API protocols and securing integrations.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with automated integration tools.
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development.
  • Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques.
  • Proven technical project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
