About the Role

This is a full-time and permanent position as an Architectural Technologist, reporting directly to the Director of Operations for Single Family. Your primary responsibility will be to draw complete customer home plans, utilizing your technical skills and creative vision.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create custom home plans, incorporating customer changes and preferences;
  • Develop site plans and submit applications for architectural control;
  • Maintain standard plans and ensure compliance with local building codes and by-laws;
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, developers, trades, suppliers, and municipal officials;
  • Participate in drafting department meetings and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Diploma in Architectural Technician/Technologist or equivalent experience in residential design and drafting;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in residential design and drafting;
  • Excellent technical knowledge in residential drafting, including AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and deadlines;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Working Conditions

  • Regular interaction with managers, staff, and external stakeholders;
  • Manual dexterity required for using desktop computer and peripherals;
  • Overtime may be required on occasion.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
