Welcome to Dream, where we're building better communities and homes. As a Senior Architectural Designer, you'll play a vital role in shaping our vision.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Develop and oversee detailed designs and working drawings for residential projects.
  • Serve as a technical resource for design-related questions and actively solve problems through the construction of projects.
  • Manage daily production workload activities to meet production timelines.
  • Collaborate with the design team to review, develop, and analyze scopes of work aimed at standardizing Dream's design activities and obtaining departmental KPI's.
  • Maintain CAD standards and plan consistency for all master files.
  • Assist in staying current by searching for new products and creating new designs that will help Dream build better communities and homes in the future.
  • Work closely with other team members from different areas of the business, including Sales, Construction, Purchasing, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Mentor Junior and Intermediate Architectural Designers on pre-construction processes for all municipalities and programs.
  • Plan checks and checking other Architectural Designers' work.
  • Assist Manager with product development.
  • Interior and exterior palette selections and maintenance.
  • Work to achieve common goals and strategies of different areas of the business while understanding the challenges and impacts each area has on one another.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Postsecondary education in Architectural Technologies (Residential Stream)
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in residential home design
  • Extensive knowledge of home building, estimating, construction building materials, and building code standards
  • LEED accreditation would be an asset
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
