Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Level Designer to join our team at Ubisoft Toronto. As a Level Designer, you will be responsible for creating immersive and engaging game levels for our Far Cry project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create game levels that meet the artistic, creative, and design visions of the project.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that levels are integrated with the game's narrative and gameplay mechanics.
- Use game engines and creation tools to conceptualize, prototype, and deliver levels.
- Balance artistic aspects with technical constraints and metrics.
- Work with level artists and animators to bring levels to life and encourage player interaction.
- Cooperate with mission designers to ensure playability and consistency.
- Develop levels based on feedback from play testers and cross-functional team members.
Requirements:
- College diploma in Game Design or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of experience in video game level design or related experience.
- Experience using game engines (e.g. Unity or Unreal) and knowledge of 2D art tools (e.g. Photoshop) and 3D software (e.g. 3DS Max, Maya, or Sketchup).
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to accept feedback and adapt to it.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Curiosity, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
