Senior Level Designer

Behaviour Interactive is seeking a skilled Senior Level Designer to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our Co-Dev vertical, you will be responsible for shaping AAA IPs and creating engaging experiences for players.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create level layouts that guide players through their objectives, incorporating clear gameplay and pacing intentions.
  • Playtest and refine level layouts, ensuring the desired experience is met.
  • Collaborate with Level Artists to define and request assets and tools.
  • Ensure level design intentions are respected throughout the development process.
  • Establish conventions for level sizes, boundaries, distances, paths, and chokepoints.
  • Implement scripted story sequences or events in levels.
  • Create compelling camera work highlighting key moments.
  • Provide time estimates and contribute to design support documentation.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of game industry experience as a level designer.
  • Strong understanding of space, flow, and pacing.
  • Ability to write detailed design documents.
  • Proficient with Unreal Engine and related tools.
  • Experience with visual scripting and sequencing tools a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to constant changes.
  • Good communication skills in French and/or English.
