Piping Department Lead

We're seeking a Piping Department Lead to join our Oil & Gas team in Brampton, ON. In this role, you'll manage piping system design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance for projects in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the piping design process from conceptualization to finalization, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Select appropriate piping materials and specifications for various project requirements.
- Develop and implement piping fabrication and installation procedures.
- Manage piping design teams to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders for integrated project design and execution plans.
- Conduct pipe stress analysis.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to piping system design, installation, and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Eligible for P.Eng.
- At least 10 years of experience in piping system design, fabrication, and installation in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, including ASME, ASTM, API, and ANSI.
- Proficient in piping design software, such as AutoCAD, CADWorx, SmartPlant3D, CAESAR II, and Pipeflow.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership skills to manage teams and motivate individuals.
- Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex piping issues.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
