Piping Department Head

We're seeking a highly skilled Piping Department Manager to join our Oil & Gas team in Brampton, ON. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the piping system design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance for projects in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the piping design process from conceptualization to finalization, ensuring that all design work meets project requirements and is compliant with industry standards.
- Select appropriate piping materials and specifications for different project requirements, ensuring that all materials meet project specifications and are compatible with the intended use.
- Develop and implement piping fabrication and installation procedures, ensuring that they are in line with project specifications and industry standards.
- Manage piping design teams, ensuring that they work efficiently and safely, and that all design work meets project specifications and is in compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that piping systems are integrated into overall project design and execution plans.
- Conduct pipe stress analysis.
- Ensure that all piping work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to piping system design, installation, and maintenance.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Eligible for P.Eng.
- At least 10 years of experience in piping system design, fabrication, and installation in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, including ASME, ASTM, API, and ANSI.
- Proficient in piping design software, such as AutoCAD, CADWorx, SmartPlant3D, CAESAR II, and Pipeflow.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and motivate individuals to achieve project goals.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex piping issues.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
