The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Agile Product Ownership Specialist. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our client-facing platforms meet and exceed the evolving needs of the market and our customers.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as liaison between technical and non-technical departments
  • Communicating with other management, developers, product managers, and technical support specialists on product issues
  • Organizing and facilitating project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetings
  • Tracking and communicating team velocity and sprint/release progress
  • Maintaining process documentation
  • Ensuring the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
  • Assisting as needed with backlog maintenance
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
  • Assisting with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs
  • Participating proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
  • Identifying and removing impediments, preventing distractions
  • Facilitating discussion and conflict resolution
  • Providing the executive layer with up-to-date, high-level awareness of the current state of backlog items as well as an understanding of how this current state impacts broader business initiatives
  • Empowering the team to self-organize

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years' experience within the investment industry
  • Extensive experience in a fast-moving/agile environment continually improving multiple products
  • Product Owner/Manager Certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Product Owner)
  • 7-10 years' experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager
  • Experienced with prioritization methods (e.g., Value vs Effort, RICE)
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience
