Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Medicine Hat Care Community Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with the healthcare team
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work in a nursing home/home for the aged setting, providing care to residents with varying levels of acuity.
