About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced engineer to join Criteo's PRE team as a Site Reliability Engineer. The role involves working closely with product engineering to improve the reliability of our apps, systems, and pipelines, assessing where optimization is needed most, and telling stories with meaningful monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to improve the reliability of applications, systems, and pipelines;
  • Assess and address areas requiring optimization;
  • Develop and maintain monitoring tools to track system performance and identify potential issues;
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents;
  • Design and implement solutions to improve system capacity, scalability, and performance;
  • Contribute to the development of automated deployment pipelines to ensure smooth changes to production environments;
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system architecture, configuration, and performance metrics;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in site reliability engineering;

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience;
  • Extensive experience with software development in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, C#, etc.), data structures, or algorithms;
  • Proficient in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems and codebases;
  • Familiarity with containerization platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), orchestration tools (e.g., Mesos), and cloud services (e.g., AWS);
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
