We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Central Health Newfoundland. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care and treatment services to our clients, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care and treatment services to clients with physical, cognitive, or emotional needs.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, including IM, IV, and subcutaneous injections, as prescribed by a Registered Nurse.
- Conduct wound care management and provide education to clients and their families on wound care and prevention.
- Participate in patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions to promote patient safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy policies.
- Graduation from a practical nursing program approved by Central Health.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated competency in working to the full scope of practice and standards of care relevant to the designated client population.
- Experience in licensed practical nursing.
