Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Synagro. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing corrective, emergency, and preventative mechanical maintenance throughout the plant to ensure safe and efficient working environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including equipment inspections, repairs, and replacements
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime
  • Collaborate with plant managers and other maintenance personnel to ensure effective maintenance planning and execution
  • Develop and maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in mechanical maintenance
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; millwright ticket is an asset
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems, Excel, Microsoft Windows/Office, and PLCs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced industrial environment, with exposure to various physical conditions, including hot, cold, dirt, dust, and noise. Personal protective equipment is mandatory, and the worker must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
