Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Synagro. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing corrective, emergency, and preventative mechanical maintenance throughout the plant to ensure safe and efficient working environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including equipment inspections, repairs, and replacements
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime
  • Collaborate with plant managers and other team members to ensure seamless operations
  • Develop and maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in mechanical maintenance
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems, Excel, Microsoft Windows/Office
  • Millwright ticket is an asset
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced industrial environment, with exposure to various physical conditions, including hot, cold, dirt, dust, wet, or noise. Personal protective equipment, such as a hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, respirators, FR coveralls, and safety boots, are mandatory.

The worker is subject to vibration, exposure to oscillating movements of extremities or whole body. The worker may be exposed to close quarters, crawl space, small, enclosed rooms, small sewage and water line pipes, and other areas which could cause claustrophobia.
