You will be part of a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about tackling challenging projects while ensuring a healthy work/life balance.

The Team

Our engineering team specializes in large-scale data systems, utilizing top-tier technologies such as Spark, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, and Python. We focus on core customer-facing analytics and search products, making a significant impact through collaboration within a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

  • As the Tech Lead for Infrastructure Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, scaling, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our product pipelines, data repositories, query engines, and internal APIs.
  • You will implement and manage cloud-based infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC) methodologies.
  • You will oversee a team of three Infrastructure Engineers distributed across various locations, facilitating their scrum processes.
  • Lead and engage in systems engineering, administration, performance enhancement, and upkeep of operating systems, networking, configuration management, observability, container workload management, and various distributed computing technologies.
  • Participate in an engineering on-call rotation to ensure the reliability and health of our production systems.

About You

  • 8+ years of experience in a DevOps/SRE/Production Engineering role or similar.
  • Proficient in container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
  • Strong expertise in Python and Bash is essential.
  • Proven experience in deploying cloud-based architectures on AWS .
  • Familiarity with developing observability tools (time series databases, etc.).
  • Experience with operating ElasticSearch or other distributed databases.
  • A strong commitment to automated, scalable, and repeatable infrastructure (IaC, configuration management, etc.).
  • An appreciation for system uptime and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to mentor fellow engineers.

The salary range for this position is $200k-230k.
