We are currently seeking a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to enhance our TCX Cloud Operations team. This position is designed for remote work, allowing you to operate from any location with internet access.

In this pivotal role, you will engage in hands-on technical responsibilities while overseeing the daily operations of a private cloud infrastructure based on OpenStack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Install, configure, maintain, and manage all hardware and software components of the OpenStack environment.
  • Network Storage Oversight: Handle the installation, configuration, maintenance, and management of network storage systems.
  • Documentation: Develop comprehensive documentation covering configurations, procedures, and standards.
  • Standardization Efforts: Collaborate on and maintain deployment standards and infrastructure tools, driving optimization initiatives across all areas.
  • On-Call Duties: Participate in the on-call rotation for Cloud Operations.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree and/or IT diploma from a recognized technical institution, or equivalent experience.
  • Approximately 5+ years of professional experience as a senior Cloud Systems Engineer, with a minimum of 3 years managing OpenStack-based clouds.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Python programming and shell scripting.
  • Experience in migrating production systems to new architectures, utilizing the latest DevOps methodologies and tools.

Automation Expertise:

Proficient in working with automation frameworks such as SaltStack, Terraform, Ansible, and Python, with the capability to extend these frameworks with new modules.

The salary range for this position is $140,500 to $158,100 USD for US residents or $121,800 to $137,000 CAD for Canadian residents.
